This quesiton is regurding my grandfather, who just turned 80,
He is a retired Glacier in the union that use to work on large cooporate buildings and install windows. Going back a few years ago. My grandfather was always complaining that his legs and head were hurting him alot and he would get dizzy and lose his balance for no reason and did alot of falling in the past few years. He would always go to hospital get what needed to be switched up or broken fixed/or a cast on his arm and then they would send him home. Until one day he took a another big fall and fell into my grandmothers glass table and could not get up, we called 911. He stayed there for a few days and ran some test and said he had a stroke and some has neurology issues with his legs.. He was walking with a walker and went to slowly not getting out of bed anymore, his speech is not good at all and he doesn't always know what your trying to say to him. We tried some phsyical therpy but we were not getting anywhere with it, they said he was lazy and just could not do it. As i am watching my grandfather diterate in front of me I started digging into other informaton, because i think what he is going through is more then a stroke, he is stiff as a bone and can hardly move at all, if you move his arm to much he cries with pain.
I think he might have silicone poisoning, he worked and would breath it in everyday being that was what he did for a living. not sure what type of masks they had back then of even if they used them. I am having doubts that the Dr.'s did do a 100 % blookwork/check on him and really did not do their reseach. Every sympton there is listed under silicone posioning -my grandfather has and I need to get further answers. Now that i am aware of this i will have him re-checked for this. I know he is going to die soon, he is skin and bones now and hospice has advised that he only has a few months if that. But I need to know what really made him this way was it really a stroke/and neurolgy issues or was it the silicone he was breathing in for years at his job and this is what shut down his whole central nerouvs system. Everytime he sweats really bad and dr's advise that is him having a small stroke but i don't beleive it. I also have a uncle and cousin that do this same work and we just need some answers. Have you ever heard of this happenng to anyone? Thank you - concered granddaughter
