I have been diagnosed with white matter ischemic disease. It all started when I went to my eye doctor because I was having double vision occasionally. He discovered my optic nerves were swollen. I had all the tests, MRI, blood work, etc. and still he can't find out why my optic nerves are swollen or why I'm seeing double. He says there is no blockage. I should mention I am 67 years old. I have very bad edema in my legs too and the doctors don't know what is causing that either. My heart doctor says my heart is okay except for a mild heart murmur. Passed the stress test. It's too the point I can't walk anymore because of the edema. I have to keep my feet elevated. My calves get hard, red and swell and developes rashes. I've also been diagnosed with cranial neuropathy and have very painful degenerative disc disease. I have a pain pump implant. I can hardly keep up with all these diagnoses and frustrated by the ones they can't give. HELP!!!!!
