Numbness in head and right thumb

I was just wondering what could be wrong, ever since I have been sick with a viral infection, I have had a numb/tingling feeling in my brain, and my right thumb is numb. A few days before I went to the Doctor, I had hit my head during training for a wrestling event, but the numbness and tingling did not begin until I started taking the medication for the illness. However I have stopped taking the medication 2 days ago, and still have the feeling. I never take any medication so I dont know if that could still be in my system or if I should see the doctor about the problems. What do you think?

I have a numbness at the end of my right thumb. It's been numb on and off about 2 weeks.I dont know why this is happening. Does anyone know why this would just start happening? If you have any idea, then please let me know either here or at

You did not tell me which medication you were on, so I can not inform you if this is a side effect. However, given your symptoms, I would recommend seeing your primary care doctor again. Some viral infections can cause neurologic symptoms. The doctor can then determine if further testing or consultations are necessary. Good luck
