PONS BLEED/CARVANOMAS IN THE THIRD VENT

What are the side affects of a pons bleed? and the side affects of carvanomas in the third ventricle?

My husband had a pons bleed on March 26 2013. He experienced double vision and then a loss of vision for about 2- months. He also, became extremely diabect after the pons bleed. On he has two carvanomas on the third ventricle. He is experiencing extreme fatigue, loss of sex drive, memeory loss of simple instructions daily and extreme mood changes. He can not perform any actions that require lifting, stress on the body, bending etc. He only has 3-4 hours a day that he can function without any fatigue. And this is only if he has not tried to do anything stressfull. he has tried each day to perform something but without sucess.

Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your husband. Cavernomas in the third ventricle can cause neurological deficits due to pressure or due to bleeds. Another possibility is seizures.
Pons bleed can at times be fatal. It causes severe deficits both neurological and cognitive. The prognosis is generally not very good. However, please discuss in detail with his specialist. Take care!
