I was first diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in my feet about 5 years ago and it seems to have gotten progressively worse, though I can still walk, and 'feel' the ground with my feet..though the surface the skin on my toes and feet are somewhat numb and this surface numbness seems to be moving up my legs.
During the past few months I have been feeling somewhat light headed. If I am standing and close my eyes I get very dizzy..much dizzier than in the past.
Can this dizziness/light headed problem be caused by my peripheral neuropathy?
Note, I also have eye problems..I am very myopic... I am -5 diopters in my left eye and -9.25 diopters in my right eye. I got my current pair of eyeglasses last Dec 2014 and since then, my right eye has gotten worse, from -7.5 diopters to -9.25 diopters. When I saw my eye doctor he said he wouldn't give me a new prescription for eyeglasses because the difference between my eyes is too great and that it would make me feel 'dizzy'. It looks like I am also going to have to explore cataract surgery in my right eye (maybe left too, not sure).
In any case, which of these is making me dizzy..the PN, the difference in diopters between my eyes, or a combination of both?
