Did you find out what is wrong with you? I have had the SAME symptoms and am a non-smoker 25 year old medical student. I have no clue what is going on with me, why I feel this way, and neither do my doctors. CBC, Thyroid, CMP all came back normal. Please, let me know if you find out!!! It could be lyme, since I went hiking 2 days before this started. I know 1 out of 4 do not have the characteristic rash. I have been like this for 11 days. Cannot focus--cannot function--need to study. The symptoms increase and decrease in severity randomly through out the day. Feel dazed. Please let me know if someone is smart enough to figure this out for you--so I can suggest it to my doctor.
Hi Carly, u have the same symptoms as my brother...he has gone to a neurothologist today, I will let u know the results...how have things been for u?
Hi Carly, u have the same symptoms as my brother...he has gone to a neurothologist today, I will let u know the results...how have things been for u?
Thanks for the advice. My PCP is the one who referred my to the neuro, I went to him with these symptoms over a week ago and he did nothing at all. The main problem is the pressure in my forehead with an odd sensation in the center, I'm also starting to get a slight headache with standing up, The veins around my temples and eyes look much more larger and out. It's so uncomfortable I'm starting to worry I have a tumor or anyersm or somethin
How is ur PCP...can they do some of the other testing to rule out similar conditions...as was mentioned Lymes is one that shares many of these symptoms...there are a few others...lupus, MS, and the low levels of vitamins do need to be looked at as well Vit D, B12, magnesium., potassium and calcium.
U should be able to turn to ur PCP he/she should oversee all of ur care to specialists....so, he may be able to pull strings an get u in sooner.....
I was tested for lyme twice but it came back negative. Right now the numbness is gone but my head still has this overwhelming pressure in it, and that deep tingle in my forhead. I know this defiantly is not sinuses. Last night, a part of my scalp felt like it was on fire. I can't get into a neurologyst for another month in a half. Feel like I have nowhere to turn.
Could you have been exposed to Lyme Disease? It can cause numbness, tingling, or twitching in the face, numbness in your tongue (with choking or swallowing problems), fatigue, brain fog, headaches, dizzyness, tachycardia, and even deficiencies in certain vitamins (such as B12) and minerals (such as magnesium).
About half of the people who get Lyme don't see a tick or a rash, which is why they get so sick without a diagnosis. Unfortunately, doctors think that the tests are perfect, when in reality, many people sick for several months or years don't test "positive" according to the CDC surveillance criteria. And then this criteria gets used to exclude Lyme, which it shouldn't.
The CDC says that Lyme is a clinical diagnosis. See if you can find an LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) who is familiar with it. Not everyone with Lyme symptoms has Lyme, as it mimics many other diseases and conditions. But if you're not getting any answers, it's worth checking out.
Did u get copies of that MRI and the report?...the reason I ask, is bcuz so many of us have been told our MRI's were "normal" only to find out yrs later that we indeed did have something, but the Drs found it an incidental finding...so they said it was "normal" when in fact chiari was present.
Do get the report, get it reviewed and if u have new symptoms, u may want a new MRI as u can have changes.
Hello, thanks for responding. I had an MRI of the brain two years ago for something totally different. It came back normal. My POTS cause has not been found, but I don't think these new symptoms are related. I have been suffering from constant headaches, but have not had one for about 3 weeks. Just the pressure and tingling. I put a cold bottle to my forehead, which made the tingling worse.
Hi, ur condition also known as POTS can be related to other conditions, so I wonder have u had ne MRI's?
We also have a forum with others that have this condition...u may want to check out that forum as well-

But do follow up with ur Drs about getting a MRI to see if u have nething in addition to ur POTS.
