Hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. I am sorry about the delay in answering.  I wanted to know the indication of inderal or propranolol. Since you had headaches on sudden stopping of alprazolam and propranolol, you could be having migraines. inderal is one of the drugs prescribed for preventing an attack. Anti anxiety drugs like alprax also cause low mood and lack of sleep. Consult your physician before restarting the medicines whether you need to continue. Try to take up a sports or outdoor activity and join a social group for mood elevation. Eat a well-balanced and healthy diet at regular intervals with regular exercise. Sleep early in a noise free environment on a comfortable bed to avoid sleep disturbance and its consequent anxiety. Best regards.

Hi there. You need to consult a psychiatrist to assess your health and this will need anti anxiety drugs for the advised duration of time. You will need to go easy with your stress levels, and follow a schedule for your balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep and stop smoking, alcohol and coffee if any. Insomnia could be due to various causes like excess noise, too hot, stressful situations, anxiety depression. it may be secondary to chronic pain syndromes etc, acid reflux disease, etc, related to any medicines that you might be taking like anti asthma, stimulants, anti hypertensive, etc. treatment might include cognitive behavioral therapy, rest, regular exercises and deep breathing exercises, drugs including benzodiazepine sedatives, like temazepam, non benzodiazepines like zolpidem, etc.Hope this helps. Take care.

Well, you have consulted a physician already and I would advise taking the tablets as PRESCRIBED.  Please take them.  The physician has already advised you.

Habitual?  What exactly has this physician prescribed?
