Hi,

Yes it is possible that you are suffering from sinusitis. Inflammation of frontal sinuses will cause pressure headaches close to the bridge of nose and tingly scalp. You can try steam inhalation for couple of days and see if it makes your symptoms any better. It is hard to tell without a clinical exam but sinusitis definitely is a possibility.

Thank you for your quick response. Could this be related to sunitis as i think i may suffer with this because i do sometimes feel pressure across the bridge of my nose, is this sunitis?

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
These short sharp pains could be Ice pick headaches which are commonly seen in migraine sufferers. Do you suffer from migraine headaches?
Indomethacin usually provides relief.
Also the possibility of neuralgias cannot be ruled out. These headaches occur due to irritation of nerve roots and occur in the area of distribution of nerve occipital nerve or trigeminal nerve. These are also short duration headaches stabbing in nature.
Please discuss this with your treating doctor and let us know if you need more information. Take care!
