Post surgery chronic fatigue

I had surgery 13 years ago, and ever since I've had fatigue.  My surgery was for an appendimoma (sorry for the spelling) inside the spinal chord (c1 to c7 area).  I got better and now I seem to be regressing.  I seem to be having a hard time keeping my weight up ( I'm 6ft tall and now weigh 135 lbs). I also seem to be having sexual side effects.  such as inability to achieve orgasm and loss of stamina (kind of like E.D.)  Plus I'm also having gastro intestinal problems similar to irritable bowel syndrome.  Any help with this is very much appreciated.  I realize a surgery like the one I received will completely short circuit my body but I had hoped I would get progressively better and it seems to be   doing the opposite.  I am 39 yrs old and I hope my age doesn't have anything to do with it.

Hello.

I hope you are not depressed. Depression can lead to such symptoms as loss of libido (and hence, the sexual effects), fatigue, loss of interest and motivation, weight loss or gain, sleep disturbances, etc. I am not denying the effects of surgery, but it could be an additional cause.

Fatigue is not a usual side effect of the surgery on cervical spine. Make sure the fatigue is not weakness.

Regards
