So scared, Stiff neck, tingling, muscle spasms

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I've been freaking out ever since I got these symptoms! So some background. I'm a 23 year old male, pretty active, work out a good amount, etc. 5 days ago, I was sitting on an uneven surface when I suddenly felt the pinky and ring finger of my right hand go numb. I thought maybe I had put pressure on my funny bone(ulnar nerve) but I had not. This tingly numb feeling lasted throughout the night, into the next morning.

The next day, the feeling spread into my left hand as well. After that, the numb tingly feeling slowly went away that night to be replaced by an INTENSE dull ache in my upper neck, and my shoulder blades. Since then I've had dull aches in my neck, upper back, and lower back at times. I also have some muscle weakness and occasional numbness in my pinky ring finger of both arms. Dull aches running down arms as well.

The pain isnt as prevalent in the morning as it is as evening comes on. The pain has decreased over these few days and I was able to get through the day without NSAIDS. 2 days I went to my GP who ordered an MRI of my neck(Neck is very stiff throughout all of this) and 2 xrays of my neck(flexion, and without flexion) These are going to be in 2 days. Also, I got blood tests(6 vials) plus urine test yesterday(The results come in 2 days). I also got a referral to the neurologist pending the mri and xrays.

However, Today at work I experienced a new symptom where my thigh was twitching non stop. And I have a dull ache in my legs.

Does anyone know what this could be? I can't stop thinking about it, and I am so scared this is something I am going to have to live with forever. Could it just be a pinched nerve in my neck? Sorry again for the wordy post. I'm trying to relax. I'm a full time student, and I haven't been able to study because I can't stop thinking about this. Please help.

Yes, ALL of this could be from your neck. Look up Cervical Myelopathy and see what the MRI of the neck shows and the blood work will rule out other causes.

There can be several reasons of your generalized body symptoms although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern.

Most likely your symptoms could be due to injury or compression to a nerve (especially in neck), pressure on spinal or peripheral nerves (neuropathy), vitamin deficiency, lack of blood supply due to cholesterol plaque from atherosclerosis in the extremities, viral infection and use of certain medications. Please consult your doctor to get all these possibilities evaluation in your case for further assessment. Hope this helps.
