Spinal Fusion L5 S1

I had an L5 S1 fusion at the end of August .  Things seemed to be progressing in the right direction unti late October.  Then my left foot/ankle/calf started swelling.  It is quite painful.  I had a Doplar at a Vascular Specialist.  No DVT.  No circulatory issues.I had an MRI done and the Radiologist suggested it may be Impingement Syndrome.  Went to see an Ortho and was advised it wasn’t that suggesting that the nerve is angry.
I want some well thought out answers but don’t know where to turn.
Any ideas as to why this has happened?
Thank you.
