Strange heat sensation in legs

I started yesterday with a strange heat sensation 3 inches from my ankle on my right leg.  It feels like if I was getting close to a heater for 10-15 seconds and then it goes away, its getting more and more frequent. Right now I am taking penicilin for strep throat that I got from my baby boy, but so far I am very healthy.  What could this be?

I have a feeling of heat which lasts for a few seconds just above my right ankle.  This happens about 2 or 3 times an hour. It's not painful and is not hot to the touch, it's a kind of internal heat. The first time I felt it was while driving in my car and I thought the heater was on but to my puzzlement it was not. I have a desk-based job but I do get up and move around regularly. Also a couple of times in the last few days I've had a kind of breathless feeling and can feel my heart beating very quickly. This also lasts just a couple of seconds is this related ?   Can anyone shed any light on this please! I'm on High BP Meds and have been for several years and have recently (last August) had my prostate removed due to early stage cancer.

Hello.

This could be a neuropathic burning sensation, a side effect of the penicillin you are taking.
