Yes generally the lesions of MS increase over time and a change is seen in series of MRI reports. MS is a very difficult disease to diagnose since it can be confused with so many other conditions like peripheral neuropathy, complicated migraine, stroke, transverse myelitis, lymes disease, lupus, arteriovenous malformation.
Usually presence of two episodes of neurological dysfunction in 6 months time less than a month apart, with positive MRI and CSF findings are sufficient to diagnose MS.
my mom died from MS (the untreatable form) nine years ago and i think about her everyday. back then they had absolutly no treatment here in canada but now i was just reading in a major magazine at the doctors office that they have a treatment that they have tested on people and it seems to work!!! i think it had to do with stem cell injections. yes, injections and it is brand new according to the article. i remember it cause i told my wife about it and we were bothexcited about the breakthrough since my chances of developing ms are increased 50% through genetics. i think it was
