Lextgrim,
I would provide some articles for you, but I've found the moderators remove the url's for sources, whenever listed.
I usually do like to provide references to back up the assertions I make.
In my quest for information about Lyme Disease, I've found that many people have problems with twitching and muscle spasms. The Lyme bacteria use up the magnesium within our cells, as they need it to live and reproduce.
When magnesium in the cells is depleted, it causes havoc, as all the enzyme processes need it.
Physicians have found that magnesium given intravenously will stop cardiac irregularities. They sometimes prescribe intermuscular injections also.
But if you want to try it yourself, you can take oral supplements.
Have you had a chance to do a search for information regarding anxiety and magnesium? I think you'll be surprised at the connection.
I hope this helps.
Carol
