c6/c7 Prolapsed Disc

Hello,
I am 39 years old women. Had a boy 3 years old. I have been suffering from Prolapsed disc of C6/C7 for nearly 10 years. I have tried chiropractice, physiotherapy and many other excercises. But since I have this active boy, I am so tired with him and with other house work. None of the above therapies have answered.
I am thinking of having the operation done. But I am scared, if I can't take more rest after the operation,  will I get this problem again? And is there any risk having this operation done.

The surgen I am beeing consulted, has a successful history about this problem.

Can you please help me to take a decision.

THANKS.

The operatiion has no risk if you do it at a good facility and a good neurosurgeon/orthopaedician. You have to have Physiotherapy after the surgery for good and speedy recovery. It takes couple of months but if everything is perfect you will be better off. Best of luck!
Take care!
