Virus followed by Neurological symptoms

Two months ago I had a virus lasting approximately 3 days with low-grade fever.  It felt like a pretty normal virus in retrospect.  In the days following I developed severe fatigue and a groggy/dizzy feeling that lasted for several weeks.  It included weakness in my arms and legs.  After approx. 4 weeks I started feeling a tremor in my hands (and I believe my legs, although it just feels like "jelly legs").  I've had a normal CT scan and blood work.  I've been examined by a neuro who mentioned Post-Viral syndrome combined with anxiety (as I have been fearing the worst since the grogginess).  The fatigue has lifted but weakness, tremors and certain muscle twitching persists.  Of course searching on here I could easily have any neuro disease but it's the weakness, tremor and twitching that leaves me paranoid.  Any ideas what this could be?  Could it simply be a post-viral syndrome?

I'm about 4 months in to this whole thing and I have to say overall I feel a bit better.  However, the weakness in my arms persists and is worse or better depending on how much activity I do.  It's very strange.  I'm following up with my nuero who assured me it had to be related to the viral/immune system.  I'm not stopping till I get an answer...

This is just like the what I am going through, read my post, " Post Viral ?" I will let you know if I find out a true diagnosis.  ENT cleared all inner ear things, my GP thinks maybe MS and I am waiting for a second opinion with another Neuro Dr.  The first one is saying post viral, although other than a lot of sneezing I do not remember being sick.

Hello, I wanted to share a similar experience with you.  Appx 6 weeks ago, I started having dizzy spells, then I noticed a strange feeling in my L arm that then went to my L leg, R leg and then to my R arm.  The sensation I have ranges from a fatigued/shaky/jittery feeling to a feeling of having a cuff on my arm or leg. I also have varying degrees of weakness, sometimes severe weakness that I am unable to walk very far or just a mild weakness, differing intensity from day to day.  I also get sensations of my limbs being very heavy. The dizziness is getting worse. I don't remember having any sort of virus prior to my symptoms starting but I am an emergency room RN and am exposed to all kinds of germs.  I have had an MRI of the brain and an array of blood tests that a neurologist ordered, all of which are normal. I am awaiting my follow up appt with the neurologist, and I am going to mention a post-viral syndrome to him.  I am sorry your experiencing these symptoms BUT I am relieved to find someone who is experiencing something similar to what I am. Good luck.

Also - I was observed by the Nuero approximately 6 weeks after the virus and he said my neuro signs were normal.
