pin and niddle pain

hi doctors my name is sara iam 26 years old complain of pin and niddle pain in the tip of my all left hand finger it migratory appear in one tip then disappear and occur in other one itis on and off ihave about 5 attack till now every one of them continue for about 5days  also ihave numbness in the entire arm and forearm which occur with fingertip during the attack ican't touch any things even ican't do my work.iam otherwise heaithy and have no complain and idon't have signficant past medical history my mother have tybe two diabets and my father is hypertensive my two big sister have antiphospholipid syndrome coud u help me and tellme what ihave and what investigation i may need

Hi there. You need to be investigated for various causes of distal peripheral neuropathy. the various causes are vitamin B12 and folate deficiency, diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, antiphospholipid antibodies to check the presence of any other familial autoimmune disorders since your two sisters have it  etc. there is a familial preponderance for type 2 diabetes too. The other causes could be a cervical disc spondylosis, disc herniation, disc degeneration compressing the exiting nerve roots. Consult a neurologist and a rheumatologist for investigation of these various causes.  Clinical evaluation, blood tests, and imaging studies like MRI spine would be required to ascertain the diagnosis.  Therapy would be according to the cause.
