Hi,

How are you?
Nerve compression due to protrusion of discs in the cervical region can cause pain and numbness in the arms and legs.
Most of the patients with cervical disc protrusion do not require surgery and can be treated with conservative treatment alone. Rest, alternate heat and ice therapy, physiotherapy under supervision and anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen can help control symptoms in majority of cases.
Please discuss these with your treating doctor. Take care!
