I have a VP shunt for intercranial hypertension. I just had gastric bypass surgery.

For the past two weeks I have a constant humming in my ears. Went to family physician and he noticed my ear drum was in good shape but up closer. Now I’m experiencing dizziness when I lean to one side or when I move too fast or even in the shower. I just had gastric bypass and I’ve lost 60 lbs in 7 weeks (go me!)
But I fear my shunt is failing. I can’t get into my headache specialist until January!
My family doctor is will to do scans if needed but wanted some suggestions before I put myself through all that.
