Can you explain more about comas, brain stem bleeding and reflexes on patients who have undergone surgery for a subdural hematoma?
Hi.
It is highly unlikely that the injury sustained in 2005 led to the new bleed seen 16 months after.
Some causes of subdural hematomas, other than trauma, include coagulopathies, ruptured intracranial aneurysms, as well as some intracranial tumors.
You should consult your physician and rule out these other possible etiologies of the intracranial bleed.
Hope this helps.
