sudden neurological condition

I know someone who's son is suddenly exhibiting what resembles a neurological condition, he's had brain scans, a spinal tap, been tested for stroke, specialists can't find anything and say they've never seen anything like this. All tests at various hospitals are negative for common conditions.

Does anybody have an idea of what this condition is?

You say he's been tested for "common conditions." Has your friend been thoroughly assessed for long Covid and Lyme disease?
