can topomax really restore nerve feeling in the genital area?

Hi!
Bell’s Palsy is a self limiting disease. Hence, its treatment is different. On the other hand, loss of sensation in genital area is usually due to pudendal nerve entrapment. This numbness is due to pressure on the nerve. Diagnosis is by diagnostic block, MRI, CT scan, and Pudendal Nerve Motor Latency Test (PNMLT).
Treatment includes physical therapy, medications, steroid injections into the Aclock canal, pulsed radiofrequency, and decompression surgery. Use of ergonomic devices for sitting that remove the pressure off the nerve can be used. Topamax is generally not used for this, but ask your doctor.
