just dont do any surgery if u can avoid it..there are no test..the MRI can only tell so much.

It is very hard to trace the course of the ulnar nerve through the MRI. Other tests that can assess the ulnar nerve without the imaging modalities would include NCV (nerve conduction velocity) testing. Cross sectional studies of the arm all the way to the spine may be employed, and the 3D image reconstructed to trace the ulnar nerve tract, but I don't think most centers can offer this approach.
