will symptoms progress

MRI's show cerebral atrophy, brain, neck ,entire spinal cord, sypmtoms, foot drop bilateral, hyperreflexia, weakness of legs, inability to walk for more than 10 minutes, MS ruled out by MRI- no lesions. vitamins and  b12 levels Ok , EMG's were OK, Peripheral neuropathy, legs cold and blue. No history of injury, no traumatic birth reported. Early 20's.  What to expect? Considering LP, Have seen mutliple nerologists and things are moving slowly, shouldn't there be more concern? No decrease in sensation, walking awkward, drag feet , difficulty climbing stairs, using abdominal muscles to lift legs. No pain involved, likely subtle compensation for many years. How do I get help?

doesn't seen consistent with Lupus, just with what I have read about the different types.  Seems more consistent after all checking around with perhaps PLS, or perhaps mild case on cerebral palsy that went undiagnosed, but that should not be progressing now, as injury was already done. Dr could not definitely rule out development into ALS.  Trying to get Lumbar puncture now to get spinal fluid assessed.  One Dr thought of post polio, but was vaccinated, could it not have been effective, and no idea where would be exposed . Most conditions seem to have pain as a factor and there is no pain, only that now my hips and knees are starting to click from the misalignment.

Lupus also could cause your problems. Have you been checked for this?

I would agressively move forward to get some answers. I would request tests for Lyme disease, etc. If I were you I would go to a University hospital or teaching institue if possible, and request to be evaluated. You do need to get a doctor who is agressive and concerned in finding out your problems. Good luck.
