Cerebral "Medusa" Deformation Bleed

First of all, I have no history of headaches or any problems. I got a bad headache and had a CatScan and was told I had an anurysm rupture but the blood looked contained and I was airlifed to a larger hospital. When I got there I had an MRI with/without contrast. Was told I had a cavernoma bleed but also believed I had a tumor in the same place about the size of a large grape in lower left cerebral lobe. I was monitored for 2 days. They did my surgery and told my husband that it wasn't a tumor it was a large blood clot and that it was removed it. About two weeks after the surgery I started getting sharp stabbing pains in my head that started at the back of my head and surge to the front of my temples and the top of my head. Very painful and would last for about 15 minutes and then deem down leaving me with a nasty dull headache. I had a follow up appointment. Was told that when he went into the surgery he thought he was dealing with a cavernoma or a tumor and that he HAD seen a deformation in my brain that he decided to leave there. He said it was a deformation of drainage veins called a "Medussa". But now pathology had come back on the section removed and it ruptured due to Vasculitis. He said all we could due is monitor it and to come back every 3 months for MRI's. He said that I was "very rare and special"
Since then the headaches have gotten worse and the sharp pains are more frequent and stonger. To the point I can't  function on some days. I have lightheadedness about 7 times a day and I have cases of nusea for no reason. Also, I have this really strange feeling in my head. It almost feels like I am about to have a seizure; like I am not completaly in my brain. Detached?  I am also having memory lapse for short periods of time. I have had a headache with severe stabbing pains every day for almost 16 weeks. I know this sounds dramatic but I feel like I am slowly dying.

Hey Doc.

One thing I was wondering about is the vasculitis thing. So I got this Medussa Deformation thing that just ruptures because of Vasculitis. SO, of course I have to scare the crap out of myself by reading about it. So this whole Vasculitis thing? Shouldn't I be taking some kind of anti-inflammitory keep the vasculitis out of my brain pills or something like that. And what are the chances of rebleed?? Like alot?? Like I said I think I just caused rebound headaches. It just feels like my head is being sqeezed in a vice. Doc, I really am not your ordinary kind of woman. I waited 18 hours from the time the symptoms started until my doctors office opened up. I kept thinking "oh it will go away" even when I lost my vision" I waited in my doctors waiting room paitently to be seen. I was airlifted to the ICU and was monitored and was unplugging myself from the epuipment to go to the bathroom by myself. Heck, I even washed my hair myself in the sink. I didn't cry even one time. All with a full rupture and however much blood they got out of there, and the blood clot they said that was the size of a grape. Don't get me wrong it hurt like a ***** but you just deal with it. So, when I say something is hurting really bad I mean its pretty damn bad. Well, be good..save lives..make good choices..XOXO Thanks again!! Your friend from across the world!!

Thanks Doc for taking time out to respond to me. I was very frustrated and in a lot of pain when I wrote my first blog about all of this. I didnt mean to sound like such a whinny baby. I went back to the neurosurgeon and he did had an EEG done and wants me to see an neurologist. But appartently there is a 6 month waiting list to see this guy. I really was in misery...the went to my local family doc who put me on Topomax. I am doing much better but am still having small daily migraines. Not bitching though..I am 100% better than where I was. I was reading on the net today though and I have been eating Excedrin, Ibprohin, and Tylenol, crap like that to help and I think I have given myself Rebound Headaches. If my head didn't hurt like it does I'd smack myself in the back of it...lol..anyway. Thanks for your help. I am laying off the Excedrin to see if that helps. By the way I REALLY DID feel like I was dying LOL....Thanks your the best!! XOXO
