About 2 years ago I started having problems, the bottoms of my feet hurt like they had stone brusies, then progressed to legs hurting severly. I went to dr and they did many test, xray of lumbar-suggested mri. Had mri - bilaterial pars defect, ann. radial tears l/3,l4,l5,s1- moderate. Did physical therapy- no help saw neurosurgeon - he said problems were from fracture(bilaterial pars defect) needed surgery.Cant have anthesia so got second opinion-he said I was basicly faking but ordered a ct scan and put in his report that with surgery there was a high failure rate of good functional outcome. Ct showed chronic bilaterial pars defect with severe left and moderate right neural forminial narrowing with still above disc problems and spondylolisthesis I . My legs and back progressivly getting worse-now limping. Had flex xray laying down- showed spondylolisthesis 1 and stable. I have been telling these dr.s for over a year now I hurt worse when standing or sittting any upright position and better with laying down. Went through chiro treatment and decompression treatment- no help whatsoever. Chiro recommended another flex xray weighted to discover upon flex and extension still stable grade 1 spondylolisthesis BUT when in neutral position(standing normal) unstable and grade 2 spondylolisthesis. Amazing, it showed exactly what I had been telling them the whole time! Had emg done and it shows normal. Have lost archilles reflex complete on left side and only a 1 on right but all shows normal on emg?Severe pain, numbness and burning. Now I am not a dr but could the same thing be happening with this test that did the flex xray. I was laying down for emg, if my spondylolisthesis is unstable in upright position which is what creates more pain wouldnt an emg standing or in upright position render different results? Please help I am frustrated with dr's not really listening to me and now it has been over a year and I am just getting worse. Thanks
