post viral meningitis

HI - this is only a short summary of the past 3 years and 2 months!

My husband returned from a business trip to China in January 2006 and immediately came down with flu like symptoms and migraine.  This lasted for several weeks after which he then sought GP advice who stated it was a virus nothing more.
His condition worsened with "odd" symptoms including swelling of the neck ( a bit like a rubber ring around the neck) no-one at the hospital was prepared to treat as he had recently returned from China and therefore they didn't know what they were treating. Several months went by and after all the blood tests taken each showed nothing.  In the meantime, he was still sweating profusely, aching all over and had the most dreadful of all migraines.
Six months later he was advised that he had post viral meningitis caught whilst on his business trip to China.
After 18 months at home mostly in bed and unable to function he was then advised by the specialist at the hospital this was the best he was ever going to get.  He returned to work and is in constant pain 24/7 with horrendous headaches.  He is unable to do anything.  Last August he started to have pains in his chest which the doctors say they have no idea what it is. His only activity has been taking our son to his football on a weekend though this is now becoming too much for him as he spends the rest of the day in bed.  Ten days ago he was prescibed beta blockers which wiped him out for the whole week but did not help his headaches at all.
Only yesterday I have come to realise that my husband is slowly and painfully dying and I don't want this to happen.  Can no-one help him? Can he not be seen by someone who specialises in Chinese viruses?
Please can someone help?
Thank you

look my friend many blood cancerous diseases are called malignant and your husband may have a progressive evolution of one kind of these hundreds of diseases. I want you to look realistic to this world, to find some positive results in your husbands examinations if any and to forget about the super rare diseases of the far east , they almost have same diseases as everwhere.
with my wishes

In response to your request for me to forward information to you, I have no medical results or information to send.  All blood and urine samples and tests taken my husband was verbally told that they could not find anything wrong.  Hence my resorting to the internet for help as I have no one else.  regards janetteh
