Does anyone here have an obsession with words?

For 2 years I have always had the word absurd in front of my eyes and I'm tired of this now. I can not do anything I love. it seems like this word will never go out of my sight. Medication didn't work. I am currently receiving emdr therapy, it has helped a little but it cannot destroy the word. What do you think about tms or ect treatments? or do you think surgery will work?

Can you give more info?  Your subject head says you have an obsession with words, but you mention in the text you "see" a particular word, absurd, in front of your eyes all the time.  This isn't very clear what exactly you're saying.  And when you say medication didn't work, how many different meds did you try, for how long, and what were you diagnosed with by whoever prescribed you the meds?

Imagine seeing the same word in front of your eyes all the time.
I've thought so much about that word that I can't get it out of my head anymore.
what do you think i should do?
