they use BMP-2 to do bone graft at the site #10 where the bad implant was taken out. They said to use BMP-2 could increase the speed of bone healing and don't need to harvest my own bone from other site.
the gum inflamation peaked on 8/31 , on 9/2, I saw doctor she checked the surgical area by looking, and said there is no infection. She then gave me anti-biotics and ibuprofen to reduce the bacteria level and treat the inflamation.
now it is 9/20, as my gum condition getting better, I noticed that the sensitivity to percussion reduced but my tooth is still a little bit loose. (it got a little bit tighter now).
so, will it over time, as the surgical area healed(tooth #10) , my #9 will become tighter?
How to know if a bone graft area failed? My doctor said if there is no white liquid come out, there shouldn't be any infection inside.
"I question why BMP-2 was used in this case and if an infection was present, was it completely removed? "
I did not get it, you mean "was BMP-2 completely removed" or "infection completely removed" ? Thanks.
I question why BMP-2 was used in this case and if an infection was present, was it completely removed?
A loose front tooth will often not spontaneously get "tighter." The graft may have failed. I would have the tooth evaluated for root canal therapy before any additional procedures are performed on it.
