Insertional achilles tendonitis, pain where the achilles attaches, is common in runners and can be quite debilitating if it is not dealt with early. In fact, several years ago I have had surgery myself for this problem, and just yesterday I operated on one. Early intervention is key to avoiding problems down the road.
Thanks for the response. I hope to reverse it because it is at an early stage. Is there a particular course of treatment you favor when it is at the early stage (I think that is my case)? Thanks ahead of time. I have a stand appt with my dr today as I've seen him every 2 wks or so since I've started training as a preventative measure.
