constantly having right shoulder problems

hi i played football ever since i was a kid and i am now 28, i played quarteback most of the time then, short story if i pick a ball to throw i always get shooting pains in my right arm and mostly a burning and a tight feeling in my shoulder, i feel the pain begin once i am in the position to throw the ball, i had a rocket arm once but can barely throw 15 yards, anything i do that deals with weight in my right arm while lifting over my head or anything i always get those pains, my right arm is weak and i try to work out but strength is not there when dealing with my right shoulder. i had an x ray done doctor said it was negative but they suggested an mri, that was 2 years ago i thought that maybe if i just take it easy it would heal, but it hasent. how i injured it was in a game i was hit while realeasing the ball and the tackler put my arm backwards while i was trying to throw it. the only time it dosent hurt is when i dont use it as much..i need some help with this one

my injury isn't sports related but it's related to alot of heavy lifting i was doing while working on a cruise ship. I started getting shooting pains in my left shoulder about 3 weeks into the assignment. I had an MRI a few days ago and i am still waiting for the results but im assuming it is a joint injury due to the fact that resting it is not helping me. When you have a joint injury your body naturally causes the area around the injury to inflame to actually protect it from further movement or damage. If your injury is anything like mine youll probably notice a little swelling or inflammation at certain times when you use your shoulder alot or carrying something heavy or maybe even certain times of the day or night or in certain weather. anyways, inflammation blocks fresh blood and nutrients from the injured area which causes a really slow slow recovery. having some kind of rehab program can help you because you actually need to keep your arm in movement rather than over resting it so it can actually heal stronger not weaker. the movement keeps scar tissue from building too thick. this is all just an assumption since your recovery seems to be taking long. hope this helped.

also, working out might be making it worse i would stop for a little while atleast with your arms.you have to heal before you become stronger. just do small easy movements and trying to stay away from anything heavy even though it will probably drive you crazy just try for a few weeks.
