Complex Cyst & Hard Lymph Node

I was just DX'd with a complex cyst on my ovary and given a follow-up US date in 7 weeks.  The lymph node on the left side of my groin is hard, and has been for over a month.   Is this something that could be related to the cyst, and should I follow up a little sooner than 7 weeks considering this?  Thanks so much for any input!

Thanks so much for responding.  I am 46, don't have any medical problems really except for Barretts esophagus.  I am post-menopausal and was very regular til this cyst.  I do have a family history of cancer (colorectal in immediate family x 3), and had a polyp removed a year ago. I have all the typical symptoms related to a cyst:  swollen adbm, adbnml pain, frequent urination, gas, constipation, etc...  I've read all the statistics on cysts, and know that about 85% of all complex cysts are benign.  However...

My concern that is the inguinal lymph node being swollen might somehow be related.  It is rather large, a little over an inch.  I have had it for at least a month, and  it isn't tender at all, which is usually the case when I have some sort of inflammation.  Thanks again for you help!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi There
this all depends on your age, medical history, and family history. most ovarian cysts are related to ovulation if you are under 50 years of age. repeating an ultrasound after a few menstrual cycles is a standard approach.

Most groin lymph nodes are inflammatory from years of stubbing toes. But context is everything.
let us know if there is any other medical history that may be concerning
best wishes
