Dear Dr Goodman. Thank you so much for advise. I will talk to my Oncologist again soon. I need to explain that when my cyst was small on the "R" the doctor wanted to operate quickly. 6 months later she admited to me that if she operated then she would for sure miss the second cyst on the "L". And I would have to go through two surgeries. That's why I was scared ...what if they are not seeing things growing inside? I had to cry and then they agreed to scan my whole abdomen and they found two hyperintense lesions on my liver which are adjacent to the gallbladder the largest measure 5.5mm. Today I got my CA 125 and it is 37.2.
Would PET scan be of help to me? to see whole body?
Thank you .

Dear Sunes,
it is understandable that you are scared. However, you should have surgery. there is no way to know without surgery if the new cysts are malignant or just fluid within adhesions. I did look at your pictures.
Transitional cell cancers do have a better prognosis and are less likely t recur than other subtypes.
But do not hide your head in the sand. Your gyn oncologist is giving you sound advice
Please let us know what happens
take care.
Dear Sunes,
this sounds very complicated. I think you should get a second opinion about whether you should have surgery now or wait and see. I see your dilemma. it sounds like you are getting mixed messages. that must be very hard!.
Please let us know what happens
take care.
Yesterday I had another MRI and it really did not show much progress in my cancer growing. They said that Chemo now is out of the question...slow growing cancer...I am allergic to chemo...and they new that...it showes how they read my charts.....surgery?? they decided to wait 5 more months. When I asked why I did not get a straight unswer. It's possibly slow growing cancer-that was their answer. And you are telling me I should get my head out of the sand!! How can I trust this ongoing decision changing system.
I am scared....and I have every right to be..The oncologists are not sure what to do and they seem like they want to shoot in the dark-trial and error. BUT WHY!!!
Can you speculate now what should I do???
Thank you.
