I am 37 years old with 5 kids. I have been healthy my whole life. For a while now I have been experiencing, extreme gastric pain, sharp and burning pains in my lower abdomen, pressure in my belly and pelvis, sometimes the pelvis pressure is so bad I can't sit. I do have trouble with constipation and have been taking fiber, it helps some. My stomach is swollen like a ball around my navel and has added about 3 inches to my waist measurement. I have constant pain in my back above one hip, with off and on again burning pains above my hips. The pains last probably half of the days of the month, worst after my cycle and two weeks into my cycle, they usually last a week, but the rest of the days I have symptoms at least 3 or more times throughout the days. I have also had extremely heavy periods. I have had the symptoms for a year or more, but are more frequent and painful lately. I have had nausea, headaches and fatigue. I was diagnosed with iron defeciency anemia and had an ablasion two weeks ago. After the ablasion I stopped taking the iron supplement and am still fatigued, also the headaches and nausea seem to be back. I have been on protonix for 20 days, twice now, and levisin, both don't seem to work. I had an abdominal ultrasound a hysteroscopy and urine tests done. All normal. My Maternal Grandma died of ovarian cancer, and my Father has had colon polyps. I really feel there is something my Doctor is missing but am afraid of sounding like a hypocondriac. Do I need to push for further tests, or can I rely on the tests already done.
