If you are a true athlete, then be realistic before you do permanent damage to your calf.
You will need to gently stretch the muscle later!
For now you can use over the counter "Stop Pain Spray" this will take the painful edge and put moist heat on it.
You need to let the muscle heal, otherwise you will tear it and then you really will be off.

This injury is not something to dismiss. More damage is done by trying to get back on the track....
