I dont like my stepfather

Im 11 years old and I hate my stepfather. He will always get mad when i dont understand things he telles me and I fell like hes trying to steal my mom from me. What shoulld I do I ignore him.

Just be yourself listen to him and if you dont understand quietly tell him so if he gets mad just walk away , ask your mom to speak to him and ask him not to get angry, it is hard , make sure your mom knows he is like this she may be able to help .good luck

jojo,  I'm so sorry you're having to endure this.  

The best thing you can do at this time is be civil to him.  Do you know what that means?  You have to be the more mature one of the two of you,  which is unfair since you're just a kid.  When you don't understand what he's asking of you,  just humbly say I don't understand.  

Kids shouldn't be put in a position of being in a broken home with a new dad who doesn't understand them.  

Do you have uncles,  or a grandfathers you are close to?  They might be able to help.
