My nephew

My nephew is 8 years old and in 3rd grade. Over the last 21/2 weeks he has been  complaining of bad stomach pains, my sister has done everything she can to find out what's wrong but they can't find anything. She can't get him to stay at school, he stayed home a couple days and all the others he callsher to pick him up. The school tries to get him to stay but they can only let him cry so loud and for so long before they make her pick him up. Today his dad went to drop him off and he got out of the truck started walking up the sidewalk and turned around came back and started crying saying I know it's gonna hurt. He doesn't want to be away from my sister at all. He isn't wanting to do anything that he used to. I thought maybe depression but now I think something is going on at school. What do you think?

My sister has talked to his teacher and she says she can't figure it out. She said everyone seems to like him and she hasn't seen anything that would cause this. She's also talked to the secretary, the guidance counselor and the nurse. ??

Possible problem at school could there be any bullying going on , ask his teacher, for any input on why ,there is obviously a connection, does he get on withe the other children in his class and  the Teacher, talk to him and put pertinent questions froward as very ofeen they sa y"I dont know " or No,' even when there is a problem, so dont take that ask him what happens during his day how does lunchtime go ,does he sit next to friends at lunchtime. Good Luck
