my sons 6 years old an i think somethings wrong

my sons just turned 6 in febuary but something wrong he crys alot especially when he is sleeping i often wake up an he sleeping on my bed he cry for no reason i ask him what wrong he tells me stop talking he trying to sleep he always has a  sad look on his face an love to tell stories he very talkativei do know he just doesnt seem to be happyhe is but when i  look at him when he does certain things its weirdhe acts out for attention

How is he at school something could be upsetting him, has he friends , is his Dad involved playing games /sports with him, outside activities. Focus on his positive side maybe he is asking for more attention, children love to play board games it is good interaction with their parents and a lot of fun, reading books together is a good thing, walks ,Nature , Talk to him ask him how he is doing at school, what he likes to do best.
