If you think he has control over this and is doing it on purpose to make you mad, you should take all his stuff away and leave him with a bed and his clothes and that is it. Every day he doesn't do this, he gets to earn one thing back.
Watch out for replacement behaviors. teach him to use his language skills to talk about something if he is angry.
If the behavior escalates, better see a child psych.
I'd take him to the pediatrician to make sure somehthing medical isn't going on. Then I'd sit down and talk at length about why he thinks this is happening and tell him of the other ways that he can express his anger or whatever. Best wishes.
