I put mine in the fridge before the two hour mark though and he is fine but mine is the ready to feed...idk if powder is different
The water you mix with the powder should be hot to kill germs in the formula as its not sterile. And because upto 2 hours of being left after being made bacteria will be growing. Ie the longer left at room temperature the more bacteria!. Good for you that your daughter has never been ill, not to say the way you do it is right. I am just going off current guidelines givibg to me off health professionals when I had my daughter. And on the formula I use it says to discard after an hour. Things are clearly different in different countries
My daughter is almost 6 months old and I have been following what I said above and she has not been sick once. It says on the label that it should be discarded after 2 hours of being out. And it would be completely pointless to mix up bottles just to put them in the fridge. Also why not put the bottle in the fridge if it's been out for less then 2 hours? The water you mix with the powder originally is already at room temperature so there is no difference..
Erm no, once a baby as drunk from it, it should be discarded after an hour and if your going to store it in the fridge it should be right after its been made up. Please do not leave a bottle at room temperature for 2 houra then put in the fridge and re use you stand very high chance of making your baby ill!
When you mix up the formula it is good for up to 2hrs before it needs to go into the fridge. Then once It is in the fridge it is good for 24hrs. But once you take it out and heat the bottle up from being in the fridge it is only good for an hour.
I believe its only good for one hour, if mot used it within that hour then discard it.
