I am 31 years old, when I was 20, I was dianosed with PCOS due to VERY irregular periods and some other problems.
I had my first son after trying for almost three years. When I was ready to have a second, my OB put my on a fertlity drug, which, I feel, cause me to have a still birth at 6 months...
I was able to get pregnant only 9 months later with my second son. When I went for my 6 wk check-up, my doctor found my rt ovary was inlarged and with an ultasound it was full solid of cyst, enlarging my ovary to the size of a golf ball, so my ob removed the ovary.
Two years later, I had a parcial hystorectomy from complications from my second son's pregnancy... All I have left is my left ovary. Over the last year, I have been having sever pains in the only remaining ovary, I had several sonagrams showing a couple small cyst, but nothing huge like the right side was.
My question is... is there something out there to take, other than birth control, to stop the cysts from forming and me having to loss the other ovary? What are other people taking to relieve the problems related to PCOS?
I have high blood pressure, some (not alot) of excess hair, and excess fat around the admoninal area... AND of course the pain from the ovary...
