Has anyone experienced odd symptoms after periods start to regulate out?

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 2 years ago after years and years of uncomfortable symptoms(I am 31) and missed periods. I was a late starter (18) and I have averaged 3 cycles a year. Sometimes missing periods for a whole year. As of October of 2016 I have been getting a period every month! Awesome right!? I think I am the only person I know that wishes and crosses their fingers hoping to start their period. Anyways I have two questions at the moment I guess. My OB prescribed me Medroxyprogesterone and advised me to take it if I went longer than 3 months without a period. I took my first course of the meds in early April of 2016 and got my period right after my last dose.  Had a period in May with no help, missed June and July so I Started my Medroxyprogesterone again in August and started my period later that same month. Missed September, but as of October and without needing the medroxyprogesterone I have been getting my period every month. So my first question is can taking just a couple rounds of progesterone help elevate your hormones? My next question is in regards to some symptoms I'm having and if they are related to things regulating out. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a lump on the right side of my grown area accompanied by pain in the area. An Ob confirmed that I have a couple of enlarged lymph nodes. I also have a very thick, white odorless discharge that he noticed during a pap smear. Test results came back normal for everything. No signs of infection from the discharge, cervix and ovaries all looked normal in ultrasound. So I'm stumped. Could these just be signs of my hormones regulating out?

OMG! Your situation sounds identical to mine! The only difference is that I'm yet to be diagnosed with PCOS and am presently waiting for the results of blood tests. Am certain that I've got it now that I've read your post; I didn't start my periods until I was gone 17 and was irregular (having maybe 6 periods a year or being very irregular) until just under 2 years ago. My cycles are now literally every 28 days yet I've developed excess facial hair, chronic hormonal acne (along my jaw and chin area), have thinned hair with a terrible receding hairline and am just always feeling so aggressive/depressed. I also have had a white discharge which has no smell but can become almost as heavy as a period. If you're still using this website, it would be great to hear back from you.
