For the past 3 weeks my doctor has told me my cervix is thinning. And im still not dialated. My babys heartbeat is strong and my blood pressure is great. Ive had a 100% healthy pregnancy. Im due Monday and my doctor is having me do a non stress test and than she said we will discuss induction. I just want to know what to expect if im induced?
Today she stripped my membrane and said if I don't go into labor by the 6th she will induce me. My contractions as of right now are about 20 min apart.
Please don't get induced. It's so stressful on the baby & u. Sometimes it ends up that u have to have a c-section bc the pitocin is too hard on the baby & puts the baby in distress. Let it come naturally. Your body knows what to do.
So, if you are due Monday then it is still within normal to go for another 1 - 2 weeks.

How far along are you?
If you are less than 41 - 42 weeks there should be no reason to induce if everything is perfectly normal. (A normal length of pregnancy is 40 weeks plus or minus 2 weeks).
Please also ask your Dr why she wants to induce?
