4 negative pregnancy tests at 46

I have one child.  She's 7.  I got married at 34 and had her in my late 30's.  I had one miscarriage when my daughter was 2 1/2 and a subsequent D&C.  Then I got thyroid cancer.  I had an IUD inserted while I went through the radiation protocol for cancer.  More than a year after the radiation, I had the IUD removed for many reasons, but mostly because it was no longer necessary.  Regulating my periods again was nothing compared to getting the thyroid meds right, but all was finally normal and I am cancer free.
Just for giggles when I had the IUD removed, I had my OB run an FSH? (fertility "ability" test) as we'd always wanted more than one child.  Mine came up as fine.  Even better than normal for my age (the result was a 12, I think?).  However, I never expected to feel that feeling again in my life.  But I think I do now.  I feel like I'm pregnant.  I'm late.  I've never been really regular (as I think I always had thyroid problems and never knew it.  It took me three years to get pregnant with my daughter).  My last period was 5 weeks ago.  But normally I don't notice when I'm not regular.  This seems different.  I almost feel like I have a bladder infection because I have to go ALL THE TIME, but it's the same feeling you have when you're pregnant.  My pants are uncomfortably tight right "there" and it just feels like a pregnancy to me.  I've taken 4 tests and they're all negative.  I've only used EPT (I guess when you get older you don't mess with the store brands anymore...)  Last box of three I bought, I upgraded to the digital read out kind, thinking them somehow superior... but to no avail.  I just got the word "negative" instead of the minus sign.
Now I have a call into my OB's office, but of course they have to call for my chart and it will be at least a day before I get a call back...
Anyone have any ideas?
Could I be pregnant???

I'm sorry, but it doesn't sound like you are pregnant.  It is most likely a hormonal change.  These pregnancy tests are pretty accurate when used properly.  See your Dr. for bloodwork, but I think it's unlikely.  Good luck to you.

I'm very happy to hear after all you've been through, you are cancer free!!  My guess is, if you took 5 HPTs and all came out neg, chances are you are not pregnant.  I would have a bloodtest done to know for sure. Best wishes!
