AFP test /Triple screening between 16-18 weeks
Hey
Anyone has any idea about the AFP test - I think it is Alpha Feto Protein Test ( Not sure how right I am coz I've become a total bird brain of late). Am 17w 2d today and am wondering if I need to ask my OB about it. I've had the NT test done when my babies were 13 weeks and they came back normal. Any suggestions/opinions?

Well the 13 week NT test does NOT test for spina bifida which the triple test does. I also had the NT test which can out normal. Then for the triple test they only did the AFP portion to test for spina bifida since we already has a normal Down's and trisomy test result. The AFP also came out normal for me. It's only a blood draw so not a big deal! Good luck!
