i dont think benedryl is on the safe list, but i cant remember. for me i took sudafed. not the over the counter one but the behind the counter you have to sign you wont use it to make meth with! lol how are you supposed to know what you are allergic to? lol
Hi! I had a stuffy congested nose throughout most of my pregnancy too! I bought a good humidifier and used saline nasal spray. This website is very helpful as well to determine if in fact you're suffering from just nasal congestion or allergies. If you've never suffered from allergies before, chances are i'ts nasal congestion caused by all the hormones in your body, and your mucus glands going haywire. It's very annoying not to be able to breathe freely!!

you could use the neti pot to clear your nose, also, go to www. safefetus. com to check the meds before taking them.
I have severe sinus allergies and asthma. I am 16 weeks prego and my allergist changed my inhaler and nasal spray so I can continue taking them during my pregnancy. I confirmed these meds as being safe with my OB. Pulmicort for the asthma and rhinocort for the nasal spray. My OB also suggested Sudafed and Benadryl is on the safe list. I only use them when I absolutely feel it's necessary but it's nice to know I do have some relief options.
Sudafed and anything made by Tylenol is on my safe list.
Thanks everyone. Really helpful information and input.
I am sure this is allergies/asthma combined with pregnancy hormones, increased mucous etc. I saw my allergologist just after I got pregnant, but was managing ok with nothing other than occassional ventolin.... But not managing ok now.... and the itching is driving me nuts (I think it's allergy, but guess my obe should be told as well).
..... too many doctors.... endocrinologist and obstetrician, and the allergologist (who I haven't seen for a few months) and I don't quite know how to work with all of them... hard enough juggling the endocrinologist and obe who have different ideas..
Am glad to hear Benadryl is ok. I won't use it every day, but I've got to get some sleep at least some of the time!
