Hey Ladies, please help me out. I'm now 31 wks & 6 days and for about a week now I've been having these VERY bad lower back pains to were its hurts me to stand up straight to walk If I've been sitting down for a while, it even hurts me to try turning over in bed the pain is so strong. I've also been having pain in my upper, inner thighs like rite underneath my vagina to be exact. These pain feel as if I've been doing exercises with my legs but I haven't at all or I haven't even had intercourse so idk what the pain could be from! If anyone can relate please inform me because I know the hospital is tired of me coming in for every little ach or pain

Hi, I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with me without having to keep running to the doctor for every little ache that I get. The thing is I didn't have any complications with my first born, no stitches, staples, forceps or any of that. I did have an epidural though. I may need to go to see what the doctor has to say about it lol but they will probably be like here she comes again  lol

thanks for the info. I don't know too much about keystones. The doctors never mentioned it to me so it's defently something I'm going to google, I love doing research lol. But the pain I had been feeling in my upper inner thighs are gone but I'm still having this bad back pain on and off. I've been having a lot of Braxton hicks lately also, do you think it may be a sign of PreTerm Labor?

Hi again. I just wanted to share that I too had no problems with my 1st, and only have had this pain with my 2nd pregnancy! It too was on and off for some time before it worsened and became more permanent.  My physio suggested that 1st birth could have caused the pgp problem as I had an assisted birth (forceps) and epidural. Hope you are feeling better. x

Hi! I too have been having pain like this for the last few weeks and I am 37 weeks 4 days. My doctor has me coming in once a week for a non stress test because my symptoms have occurred because of the really hot weather and me apparently not drinking and eating enough to keep my keytones normal. Your keytones is very important to your body and your babies health. If they are low it can cause you extreme back and pelvic pain and even nausia at times.

I have a terrible pain after week 30 and doesn't go away at all.
I tried pre-natal massage in a bed special for pregnant women, who has indentation for you arm, legs and head, when you lay on the side and the massage really works,  also I tried Arnica gel wich is so helpful and eucalyptus oil, and they minimized my pain a lot.

Thanks for the info because I was basically thinking something might've seriously been wrong due to I didn't have the same pain with my first child. I was planning on going to the ER to be checked today but when I woke this morning the I pain was gone completely. Hopefully it doesn't return

Hi. It sounds like you are suffering from pgp(pelvic girdle pain). This is normal in pregnancy as the joints in the bottom of the spine tend to go out of balance as a result of the hormone relaxin that your body is now making. This causes the pain that you describe. I had the exact symptoms you describe and was unable to walk for a week as the pain was so bad. I went to the GP and midwife about it but neither were particularly helpful. I was referred to NHS physio and they diagnosed it but didn't even examine me. Needless to say that they were little help. Desperate I did some googling and found a local physio who listed pgp as an area of expertise.  I saw her for an hour and was walking without pain by the end of the session. She spent ages examining me and pinpointed the problem to a sacro iliac joint which had slipped and then manipulated me ro slide it back. Gave me some exercises to help strengthen the surrounding muscles so it doesn't slip again too. If you can afford it I would see a physio who is confident to treat you.

The pain around ur vagina is normal. I m getting it n told my doc a few days ago. Said it normal it due to ur pelvic bones moving in preparation for when the baby is ready to be born. He said once I deliver it will stop. But he can't do anything aby it. It's normal pains that pregnancy cause also the back pain is normal but the more weight u gain the worse it gets due to bad poster n the weight.

thanks. A friend once told me about the sciatic nerve problem before but I didn't think much of it. I don't own a belly belt but I mite need to seriously invest in one. I've been having tightening in my stomach to were you can see my baby bald up in one spot for a few but there's no pain with it just tightness so I'm not sure if it's contractions or not! I'm going to try to go get checked at the ER soon because I no longer have a OB to go to

The pain between your legs is normal especially if your on your feet alot.  The back pain I would say is normal only yours sound severe.  It could be sciatic nerve pain.  Which you have to get checked by your doctor.  You definitely need to get a belly belt if you don't have one to help with the pressure And back pain.
