Cruz has to have surgery tomorrow 12/3

Cruz has to have his extra digit removed from his left hand. We lovingly refer to it as his "hangy ball". I know that it is just an outpatient procedure but the thought of him being put to sleep scares me. We have already pushed the surgery back two month because of this fear. Well the time has come because Cruz has started to pull on it. Sometimes he squeezes it so hard that it turns red.

After everything with my sweet Cooper, I am just so nervous. I know it is not even close to what Cooper underwent but my fears are getting the best of me.

Please keep him in your prayers.

Oh Rachel, I didn't know.  I'm sorry your stressed hon.  But he is going to be just fine!!  Momma will probably be a wreck until she has him back in her arms, but no doubt Cruz will come through it like the little trooper he is.  That being said, you know I will be sending lots of happy thoughts and prayers his (and your way!!).

My son had to have an operation and it is no fun at all watching them go under or come around. It probably rates as one of my worst experiences so my thoughts are with you. He may be freaked out when he first comes around so just cuddle him through it. The team will help you too I'm sure.

You know you're already in my toughts and prayers.  It kinda reminds me of when Gavin had to have a Sleep deprived Brain Stem test for his hearing.  We had to keep him awake for hours and the car ride was the hardest.  Good Luck and I'll say an extra prayer for him.

Thanks everyone!!! I did see a little "Cooper Bird" this morning and that made me feel a lot better.

I will try to give you an update sometime tomorrow. His procedure is around 7:30, if everything goes as planned.

Poor little guy cannot eat after midnight, that should be one fun car ride! Mind you he usually sleeps from like 9:30-7, so he will be expecting his 7:00 feeding! We are going to feed him right before midnight and hopefully he will be fine! Guess that means I have to pump at midnight too! : (

Aww, sorry to hear that you are scared.  It's only natural to be, esp with all you've been thru, but Cruz will be FINE!!  And you'll be glad you took care of this while he's little.
