Failed IVF

Hi - We just found out that our IVF was not successful.  My question is how soon should I expect my period once all the progesterone and Estridol (estrogen) are out of my system?  I've been crampy the last couple of days, but no signs of Aunt Flo yet.  Thanks.

If you have more questions on IVF, the fertility forum is a wonderful place to get quick answers.  The ladies there are so knowledgable & have great advice.

You'll start your period when the progesterone's out of your system which should be up to 10 days later.  If you don't start (I didn't at first) call your re's office.  They'll probably prescribe Prometrium or some kind of med to get you started.

I'm very sorry your IVF cycle didn't work out - jen

By the way this is the first time I ever saw your post. And I didn't see the other one you are referring to.

After I stopped taking progesterone I got my AF about a week to 10 days later.  It was while I was doing an IUI, however.  I do remember it taking some time for AF t show up.

Hello!  I second what adgal said...sometimes there are posts that no one can answer, therefore it remains without replies.  I have had that happen to me too : )  Sorry for that.  As adgal said, please post on the fertility forum, you should have much more responses to your questions.  You are always welcome to post on this forum, so please keep posting.  Pam

Hi there.  I just went back and looked at your first post as well.  I am sorry you are not getting responses.  It's not that no one wants to help, it's likely that no one knows how to answer.  I know personally I have never gone through IVF and honestly don't have any idea what it all entails.  You might find you get better responses on the fertility forum.  You are very much wanted here, so please do not misunderstand, it's just that you will probably find more women who understand and have been through IVF then you will here.  I wish you luck, and I do hope you still hang around our community!!!  All the best to you.
