Lite period???

OK ladies, this is me again trying to be an optimist. You all know that I have had just spotting the last 3 months in a row. It happens at the time AF is due. Last month is was a 25 day cycle this time a 31 day. There is no blood at all and it's only there when I wipe, just pink. Now I've taken HPT"S and they are all negative. I have gained 5 pounds in the past 2 1/2 weeks for no reason whatsoever. I haven't changed my eating habits at all and most of the time I feel pregnant. I was using the cheaper tests but last weekend I took a Response Early test and they are supposed to be really sensitive and accurate so that must mean I'm not pregnant. Could it be that I am starting Menopause and am doomed for the baby idea??? I'm glad that it is more regular now...if this really is AF each time. I've been taking all the supplements to help with ovulation and I just ordered Ovusure opk so that I can start testing on the 9th. This months spotting started on the 30th. Today is the 3rd and it hasn't changed a bit. It doesn't even change after intercourse. It actually stops the spotting for a few hours. Any input would be great...Should I give up? Should I still consider this AF and start the OPK on the 9th? I also ordered the preseed to start with the opk. Should I call the doctor and explain how things are and see if it's worth a blood test? I've heard other stories about women who have had all the test be negative yet an ultrasound confirmed a pregnancy. Is it all in my head? I know...I'm pushing my luck but I'm really baffled by this. To have AF and not need to use anything is kind of whacked!!!  Thanks in advance for putting up with the babble!!!

Yes it is Chaste Tree Berry AKA Vitex agnus castus. Good luck and good choice with the preseed!

Thank you. No I am not taking Vitex. I've heard of it though. Isn't it in Chastetree Berry? I bought an opk now that I've had 3 months in a row of actually getting my period, even though it was unusually lite. The next 3 days are supposed to be my fertile days. Last night my opk was positive and I will check again tonight. I also bought preseed to help the process. Wish me luck!!!

If the "natural supplements" you are taking include Vitex, that can lighten periods and is considered completely normal. If you aren't using Vitex then I would recommend it. It regulates your hormones, helps Luteal defects, lightens periods, increases progesterone and helps fertility....all without hormones. It is a natural version of Clomid, a drug frequently given for infertility. It may take up to 6 months to work though. For me, my periods were regular after 3 months of taking it. Feel free to google it and learn more!

Yes, it's me who can't use fertilty drugs. I am using natural supplements, that's why I think it's at least showing up each month now. It usually skips a month after I've had 2 in a row. This is the 3rd month in a row now that this is happening. Hopefully!! Anyway, thanks for responding. My OB doesn't think it's menopause either, she said she doesn't see anything wrong with me at all. I guess that's what bothers me the most. If there isn't anything wrong with me why is this taking so long? I'm not very patient when it comes to waiting. Especially when I see people having babies that shouldn't be. Thanks for the well wishes. How's it going with you???

It's so frustrating when our bodies start to change a bit...I have a similar problem.  However, it does not mean you are going into menopause...that was the first thing I asked my OB.  Sometimes our cycles just change, and the key is pinpointing that ovulation (which you are doing with the OPK's).  I was shocked to find out I probably o'd cd 10 this month instead of my usual cd 13.  But it happens.  You should probably talk to your OB about the really light AF.  I bet it's nothing to worry about though...your just lucky!!!!!  lol.  Don't give up, but do see your OB and get his/her opinion.  I think it's you that can't use any fertility drugs or anything...am I correct?  But maybe there are some natural supplements or something you can use to help regulate that cycle.  Good luck!!!
